#1: A New novice-TO-BE

Last week, our postulant Collette was admitted by the monastery Chapter to receive the holy habit and enter the novitiate!

Her Vestition ceremony will take place on August 15th, the beautiful Solemnity of Our Lady’s Assumption into Heaven.

We know that you’ve been praying for Collette throughout her journey - please redouble those prayers over the next 2 1/2 months as she prepares to take this important step in formation as a bride of Jesus Crucified!

Noelle in her postulant garb

#2: A NEW postulant

On May 1st - Feast of St. Joseph the Worker - our aspirant Noelle officially entered the monastery as a postulant!

We are so happy to welcome and accompany her as she asks (Latin - postulare) the Lord and the community what Passionist life is all about.

Please keep up the prayers for Noelle during this time of deeper discernment and human/spiritual formation!

An interesting side note about our current postulants … not only do they both hail from California, but they also both attended the same Advent vocation retreat back in 2023! Though their journeys have been different and unique, both were led to return here at this time, and they are now happy novitiate companions. The ways of Providence are beautiful and mysterious, aren’t they?
