Good News about Paul Schuhmann!

Thank God for the power of prayer!

Last year we asked you to storm Heaven for Paul Schuhmann, the brother of our Sr. Catherine Marie, who was diagnosed with advanced cancer. The case seemed pretty bleak at the outset, but we serve a God of miracles and so we (and many of you!) committed ourselves to praying for Paul’s healing through the intercession of Ven. Magdalena Marcucci, CP.

It has been slow and hard going with chemo, faith, and perseverance, but today we’re delighted to inform you that Paul’s cancer markers are down to “undetectably low” levels! His doctors are thrilled, not to mention his family and our whole community.

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the part each of you played in this “miracle in slow motion,” and may God be praised! Given the severity of Paul’s case, a permanent cure doesn’t seem to be (humanly) possible, but it does look like he is out of danger for now. Please keep up your prayers for a long remission and many more years of life!
