An Anniversary and an Announcement
Today, Passionists around the world are celebrating the 250th anniversary of the death of our Holy Founder, St. Paul of the Cross. We thank God for the gift of the Passionist charism, given to the world through St. Paul’s fidelity to his unique vocation as Founder! Please join us in praying for a renewed outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon all Passionist religious and laity on this special anniversary.
And what more fitting day to announce a bit of our own good news - that another of St. Paul of the Cross’ spiritual daughters will soon be wedded to the Divine Bridegroom?
That’s right! Our novice, Sr. Isabel Maria of Jesus My Eucharistic Spouse, has been accepted to make her first Profession of Passionist Vows on December 12th, the feast of Our Lady of Guadalupe. May God be praised for our Sister’s “yes” to Him, and for the gift that she is to our community, our Congregation, and the whole Church.
Please pray for Sr. Isabel Maria as she begins to prepare more intensely for her wedding day with Jesus Crucified - and for all our young women in formation and discernment, as they too seek to follow God’s call. These courageous souls show that the dream and charism of Paul of the Cross are alive and well today!
