Forty Hours 2020

Normally, we hold our Forty Hours of Eucharistic Adoration on Corpus Christi Sunday and the following days. This year, however, in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, we decided to have the devotion as a triduum leading up to the great solemnity of Pentecost. After all, we have never needed to implore the gift of the Holy Spirit as much as we do now!

During our Forty Hours, we also held the Eucharistic Procession in Time of Epidemic and Plague, an ancient devotion used by the Church for centuries. It was a powerful experience, following the Blessed Sacrament around our property and reciting the Litany of the Saints and other prayers to beg God for the end of this worldwide pandemic. We trust that He in His great mercy hears our prayers and those of the whole world!
