Autumn Guests

Autumn brought a variety of vocation visitors to the monastery! First up, the October vocation retreat had three participants, Sarah, Ana, and Emma.

The very next weekend, we were delighted to host some young women from Benedictine College on the last stop of their Fall Break nun run. For those who don’t know, a nun run is basically a road trip in which a bunch of girls pile into a car and visit several convents in the course of a few days. Our Sister Cecilia Maria was the fruit of a nun run, in fact!

A nun run from Benedictine College in KS stopped by for the weekend - we enjoyed sharing about our life through our Monastery Jeopardy game.

A chilly day, but alas, no snow for our Floridian guest - perhaps next time… Pictured here are Sr. Cecilia Maria, Rebekah, and Sr. Maria Faustina.

To round out the autumn guests, Rebekah made a weekend discernment visit. We hope to see her again!

Finally, after a very graced time of aspirancy and postulancy with our community, Kathryn discerned that the Lord’s call for her lies elsewhere.  She departed from the monastery with much love and many prayers from all the nuns; please join us in continuing to pray for Kathryn as the Lord’s beautiful plan for her life unfolds!
