Passionist Oblates gather for
"family photo" with St. Joseph Monastery Superior, Mother Catherine
Marie, after the admission ceremony. |
On the
evening of Feb. 4, 2003 we received
28 new members
into the Oblate Formation
program,
bringing the total
number to 46. The group had just completed a year
of Inquiry, and now are ready to move into the formation program
preparing
for the Oblate commitment.
The
admission ceremony took place during Evening Prayer and Benediction of the
Blessed Sacrament. At the end, all lit their candles from a Christ candle
burning before an image of our founder, St. Paul of the Cross. Then while
holding lighted candles we sang “May the Passion of Our Lord Jesus Christ be
ever in our hearts!” It was a moving witness to the work of the Holy Spirit,
stirring up in the hearts of so many a desire to participate in the Passionist charism.

New Holy Oblates on Retreat!
May the new life flowing from the cross of Jesus
richly bless each of us in the
Family of the Passion!
the awesome gift
continues....Alleluia!
