From Ecclesia de Eucharistia: 2

"The Eucharist is indelibly marked by the event of the Lord’s passion and death, of which it is not only a reminder but the sacramental re-presentation. It is the sacrifice of the Cross perpetuated down the ages." (#11)

Prayer #1 - The One and Only Sacrifice of the Cross
Eternal Father, we celebrate the memory of Christ Your Son.

We...recall His passion, His resurrection from the dead,

and His ascension into glory.

O my God, I believe that what the Church "remembers" at Mass

is not an event remaining merely in the past,

but the one and only sacrifice of the Cross made present to me,

and perpetuated down the ages.

I believe that in the Holy Eucharist, the entire Mystery of Christ,

including the sending of His Spirit, is thus truly made present in all of its mighty saving power.

Beloved High Priest of the New and Eternal Covenant,

in union with Your Mother and the whole Church,

I enter Your Divine Heart as I participate in the Mass today.

The unceasing act of worship, the total self-giving love in Your Heart,

You give me as my own.

I adore You, O Christ, in the majesty of Your self-giving love in the Eucharist.

At Mass today, I run to your hands raised in prayer to the Father.

I run to Your strong mind and will consenting in filial love to Your sacrificial death.

I run to Your Heart, to Your ceaseless self-outpouring Agape love.

O Jesus, Eternal High Priest!

With mighty hand and outstretched arm You bear me up

and carry me to Your Father in Your own self-giving.

Live in me! Take this whole day and make it holy.

Form my heart in a Eucharistic attitude,

an attitude of offertory and sacrifice,

that all my prayers, works, joys and sufferings

may contribute to the mission of Your Church!

Holy, Holy, Holy!
